Job summary

Swain Resort in Swain, NY is seeking a Cook to join our team in a fast-paced mountain environment. You will prepare, cook, and plate items to Swain Resort standards, while ensuring cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.

This seasonal/FT/PT role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays; prior kitchen experience preferred, willingness to train, teamwork, and reliability. You must be 18+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Competitive pay and opportunities for event support are available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet guest demand.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen areas, and equipment.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with prep work, stocking, and restocking supplies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management.
• Adhere to all safety and resort policies, including proper use of equipment and protective gear.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for special events, banquets, and busy weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.

Location: Swain Resort – Swain, NY

Status: Seasonal / Full-Time / Part-Time (depending on needs)

Pay Rate Range: $16.50 – $18.00
