Job summary

Swain Resort is seeking a reliable Housekeeping/Custodial team member to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. You will clean lodging units, restrooms, and common areas to resort standards, restocking supplies and ensuring guest comfort.

Weekend and holiday availability is required, and you must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks. Training will be provided, and you’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping/custodial/hospitality cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, able to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform daily tasks.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the main lodge, including restrooms, common areas, dining spaces, and offices.
• Perform thorough cleaning of rental units, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces.
• Change and launder linens and towels; make beds and restock amenities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect all assigned areas.
• Remove trash and recyclables and ensure proper disposal.
• Replenish cleaning and paper supplies as needed throughout the resort.
• Report maintenance or repair needs promptly to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of custodial closets and equipment.
• Assist with special projects, event setups, and seasonal deep cleaning.
• Follow all resort safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.
