Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Shore Power Electrical Engineer to support design and construction of shore power facilities across multiple U.S. locations, including Arlington, VA and San Antonio, TX.

The role focuses on medium/low voltage shore power systems, detailed design deliverables, and coordination with clients and vendors. The ideal candidate will have an ABET‑accredited engineering degree, 5+ years of post‑education design experience, and be eligible for PE registration within a year.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant post-education design experience for capital projects.
• Ability to obtain PE registration within one year.

Responsibilities

• Design shore power systems per NEC, NESC, UFC and IEEE standards.
• Prepare one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics and layouts.
• Perform short-circuit, time-current, arc flash analyses and protection schemes.
• Coordinate with clients, disciplines and vendors throughout design and construction.
• Support permitting reviews and site inspections to ensure compliance.
