Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks an Excursions Director to lead shore excursions and guest experiences across our US-flag ships. You will coordinate excursions, transfers, and vendor communications, acting as a brand ambassador and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.

The role demands long hours, high energy, and strong collaboration with the Cruise Director, Guest Speakers and crew. Onboard living, travel, and training are provided on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in hospitality, tourism or event management.
• Strong public speaking and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and guest service focus.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust shore excursions and transfers.
• Be well-versed in cruise region, ports, and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as company representative and brand ambassador.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors and ground operators for timely service.
• Accommodate highly personalized guest requests (kayaking, golf tee times, private transport).
• Present detailed excursion briefings at cruise start and communicate changes to guests.
• Oversee excursion inventory and invoicing; manage related systems.
• Manage launch boat operations with the Mate and coordinate office inventory.
• Coordinate with CVBs to refresh maps and port materials for guests.
• Inform crew about daily excursion offerings and represent the company at hotels on turnaround day.
