Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking an Excursions Director to oversee shore excursions and transfers aboard our ships for the 2027 season. The role focuses on guest engagement, brand representation, and coordinating with vendors to ensure seamless experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a hospitality or event management background, a TWIC credential, and strong public speaking and time‑management skills. This position requires long hours and active guest interaction on board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Public speaking, confidence, and strong communication.
• TWIC credential required.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of U.S. geography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust shore excursions, explorations and transfers.
• Be extraordinarily well-versed in the cruising region, ports of call and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as a company representative and brand ambassador.
• Coordinate, communicate and confirm all logistics with vendors, coach companies and ground operators.
• Accommodate guest requests, including highly personalized ones such as kayaking, golf tee times, and private transportation arrangements.
• Promote on board sales and brand loyalty program.
• Inform crew members of daily excursion offerings and updates.
