We are seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our SHOP team in Farmville, NC.

You will be required to pass a FCAW On-Site Welding Test.

In this role, you will be responsible for welding or fitting various metal pieces together to create a final product using the customer's specifications or drawings. The schedule for this position is M-F 6am-4:45pm and plus overtime as needed with occasional Saturday work.

Your responsibilities as a Welder/Fabricator:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine project specifications.
• Operate welding equipment to cut, weld, and fabricate metal components/structures.
• Fit up miscellaneous transitions at interfaces between equipment.
• Use various tools, machinery, and equipment such as drills, grinders, saws, forklifts, boom lifts, etc.
• Complete customer's needs on the project, if it does not involve financial changes to the contract.
• Inspect welds for accuracy and quality assurance.
• Align, fit, measure, layout, and inspect parts, mark cutting lines, gather materials, and operate machinery.
• Welding in all positions.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Mig Welder/Fabricator qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Welding certificate or Diploma
• 2+ years of welding experience using hand and power tools to install or repair equipment.
• Fabrication and shop experience preferred.
• All candidates must have a valid driver's license, and pass a drug screen, and background checks.
• Demonstrate ability to tactfully manage difficult situations.
• Independently perform duties with minimal direction and supervision.
• Must live within commuting distance of Farmville, NC.
