ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Build specialized compactors and options with limited information.
- Weld to acceptable quality expectations in all weld positions.
- Complete custom fabrication tasks, build, and install special options with Drawings and Limited Supervision.
- Ability to thoroughly read and use blueprints to Fabricate Products.
- Use of specialty Fabrication tools such as Magnetic Drills and Plasma Cutters.
- Calculate sizes and measurements using math skills.
- Part positioning may occur at floor, table, shoulder, and above shoulder levels.
- Ability to meet production standards.
- Maintain good attendance record and be able to work overtime as needed.
- Maintain good safety record.
- Maintain positive attitude.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Experienced MIG welder. Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Strong math skills including ability to do calculations.
- Requires no supervision to perform tasks assigned.
- Can read blueprints, drawings, and hand sketches in order to build product to specifications.
- Ability to use tape measure, layout out, and set assemblies.
- Forklift and Overhead Crane Operation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or relative experience and/or training for job classification.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Basic math and competent tape measure reading.
- Depending on job classification, may require ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
