Full Time: Monday-Thursday 5:30 AM- 4:00 PM (OT depending on production needs).

Location: 322 W 32nd St. Charlotte, NC 28206.

Relocating this summer to: 200 Ratchford York, SC 29745.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Build specialized compactors and options with limited information.
• Weld to acceptable quality expectations in all weld positions.
• Complete custom fabrication tasks, build, and install special options with Drawings and Limited Supervision.
• Read blueprints thoroughly to fabricate products.
• Use specialty fabrication tools such as Magnetic Drills and Plasma Cutters.
• Calculate sizes and measurements using math skills.
• Position parts at various levels including floor, table, shoulder, and above shoulder.
• Meet production standards.
• Maintain good attendance and work overtime as needed.
• Maintain good safety record.
• Maintain a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an MIG welder.
• Strong math skills, including calculations.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to build to specifications.
• Use tape measures, layout, and set assemblies.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; relevant experience or training acceptable.

Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and correspondence.
• Effective communication in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math and tape measure reading skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure as required.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle, and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes; moderate noise level.
