Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Fabricate ductwork, air distribution accessories, and associated equipment for commercial, industrial, and institutional heating and air conditioning projects.
2. Locate, measure, and outline installation areas from construction drawings.
3. Drill holes, attach brackets, hangers, and other holding devices.
4. Fabricate complex fittings and ductwork for installation.
5. Assist with moving, loading, unloading, and distributing materials and parts.
6. Set equipment such as coils, fans, and humidifiers.
7. Operate equipment including shears, press brakes, sheet rollers, hem saws, plasma cutters, and grinders.
8. Work overtime as needed, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to weld using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) to qualified procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years of metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Welding test on stainless steel, carbon steel, galvanized, and aluminum will be required during interview.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, man lifts, platform lifts, forklifts, rigging, and erecting equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
