Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Trailer Mechanic II in Albertville, MN. This is a dedicated on-site shop position focused on certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light to medium trailer repairs, and related duties. The mechanic will work under supervision on advanced tasks and support the shop team with accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, tool usage, and collaboration with service writers to ensure timely repairs and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience.
• ASE certifications are required or to be obtained within 18 months.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and PMs in a shop setting.
• Execute light, medium and some heavy repairs on trailers and components.
• Diagnose, repair and document findings on Repair Orders (RO).
• Maintain shop safety, organize tools and parts, and assist teammates.
• Coordinate with Service Writer on estimates and approvals.
