This position involves repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment and components, developing repair plans and sequences
• Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
• Perform repairs safely and correctly, with quality assurance testing
• Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling usage, service reports, and work orders
• Communicate repair progress to supervisors
• Manage parts and tools through the company system and tool room
• Use company vehicle and fuel cards responsibly
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience
• Technician classification based on experience and competence

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, handle tools, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, lift, and communicate effectively. Accommodations may be provided for disabilities.

Work Environment

Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, outdoor weather, and noise. Moderate to loud noise levels expected.
