This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, or an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for handling and feeling. Also required to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, lift, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
Frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
