This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; or an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four (4) years of apprenticeship experience. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
The role requires sitting, standing, walking, and manual handling, including reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, crouching, or crawling. Communication and auditory skills are also necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
The work involves exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
