This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; or an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four (4) years of apprenticeship experience. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for handling or feeling. Reach with arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, lift, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear are also required. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
The work involves exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
