Job summary

East Coast Facilities, Inc. is hiring a Shop Technician to assist Mechanics and Lead Mechanics in daily shop duties, maintain a clean, safe work area, and support fleet movements between Service Centers and the Home Office.

You will perform light preventive maintenance, basic inspections, small fabrications, organize tools and parts, and help with winter snow operations as needed. A valid driver’s license and fluency in English are required.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in mechanical work, fleet maintenance, or equipment repair.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and ask questions when uncertain.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assists Mechanics and Lead Mechanics with day‑to‑day shop duties.
• Performs light PM services: check fluids, change air filters, basic lubrication, battery checks, simple inspections.
• Performs minor mechanical repairs under supervision.
• Supports fabrication work (grinding, cutting, prep tasks).
• Cleans equipment, attachments, and small machines; prepares units for service deployment or return.
• Drives company vehicles to support intercompany fleet transfers; transports vehicles between Service Centers and the Home Office.
