East Coast Facilities, Inc. in Connecticut is seeking a Shop Technician to support our Service Center operations by assisting Mechanics and Lead Mechanic with daily tasks, maintenance, and prep of equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, shop organization, inventory handling, and inter-site vehicle movements, including transporting vehicles between Service Centers and the Home Office. Ideal candidates are developing mechanical skills or entering fleet maintenance, and must be able to work outdoors

Qualifications

• Strong interest in mechanical work, fleet maintenance, or equipment repair.
• Fluent in spoken and written English due to safety and technical needs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass illicit drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mechanics and Lead Mechanics with day-to-day shop duties.
• Perform light PM services: check fluids, replace air filters, basic lubrication, battery checks.
• Support fabrication work: grinding, cutting, prep tasks.
• Keep shop clean and organized; manage tools and storage.
• Assist with inventory counts and parts handling.
• Drive company vehicles to support intercompany fleet transfers and move vehicles between sites.
• Follow safety rules and PPE; report hazards.
• Participate in snow removal operations during winter as needed.
