Savannah College of Art and Design seeks a ceramic shop technician to maintain a clean, safe studio for faculty and students, ensuring ongoing ceramics education and program growth. You will train students, manage kilns, monitor hours, and document exemplary student work.
You will also order clay, manage inventories, mix glazes, collaborate with faculty, and support SCADextra and SCADday events and student exhibitions in the studio.
As a shop technician, you’ll work to provide a clean, safe, and orderly studio environment for faculty to successfully teach in and students to complete projects. Your efforts will also help to continuously grow the ceramics minor.
The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
