Jobot is seeking a skilled shop-based technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in a Madison, WI area shop. You will perform mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, and electrical repairs while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates own professional-grade tools, have a valid driver’s license, and can read schematics and manuals; experience with diesel equipment is a plus. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor hours.
• Work closely with service leadership and parts teams to complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Participate in training to stay current with equipment technology.

Job Details

We are seeking someone for our Madison, WI branch. This is a shop-based role with no travel required. Candidates must have their own professional grade tools and toolbox.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
• Experience working with diesel-powered equipment, hydraulics, or industrial machinery
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Comfort using computers and diagnostic tools
• Ownership of professional-grade tools and toolbox
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet physical job requirements
• Heavy construction equipment experience is a plus but not required for the right mechanically strong candidate
