Chadwick-BaRoss, Inc. seeks an experienced Service Diesel Technician for a shop-based role in a well-equipped facility. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on heavy-duty off-road equipment such as loaders, excavators, and backhoes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing heavy equipment or construction machinery.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.
• Own a basic personal tool set.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment systems (diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrains, fuel systems, electrical components).
• Participate in annual technician evaluations for skill development and pay progression.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and advanced diagnostics.
• Remove, install and rebuild major components with minimal supervision.
• Use OEM service manuals and schematics to complete accurate repairs.
• Document repairs and maintenance with detailed service reports.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safety-focused shop environment.
• Safely operate and maneuver equipment within the facility.
• Attend OEM/regional technical trainings as required.

Job Summary:

Compensation:

Starting at$32 or higher,based on experience

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experiencerepairing heavy equipment or construction machinery preferred
• Experience with OEM brands such as Takeuchi, Link-Belt, Bell, Volvo, Hyundai, CAT, or similar preferred
• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical/mechanical diagnostics
• Ability to provide a personal basic tool set
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Technical school diploma in Diesel or Heavy Equipment Repair preferred (relevant experience accepted in lieu of formal education)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment
• Strong attention to detail with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
