Job summary

Chadwick-BaRoss, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for heavy equipment repair. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and preventive maintenance of off-road construction machinery at a field-based site.

You will work with diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrains, and electrical systems, with ongoing training and growth opportunities. Starting at $35.00/hr and up based on experience, the position offers a sign-on bonus, a comprehensive 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience repairing heavy equipment or construction machinery.
• Experience with OEM brands such as Takeuchi, Link-Belt, Bell, Volvo, Hyundai, CAT, or similar is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical/mechanical diagnostics.
• Ability to provide a personal basic tool set.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment systems including diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrains, fuel systems, and electrical components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and advanced diagnostics.
• Remove, install, and rebuild major components with minimal supervision.
• Document all repairs and maintenance through detailed service reports.
• Safely operate and maneuver equipment within the service facility.
• Participate in OEM and regional technical training as required.

• Participate in annual technician evaluations designed to assess skill development and provide opportunities for advancement and compensation increases

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and advanced diagnostics
