PALFINGER is seeking a Shop Service Manager to lead branch service operations at our Jackson, NJ location, delivering safe, timely, and reliable support to customers. You will oversee service technicians, manage workflow, and ensure labor and resources are used effectively, while championing service excellence and team safety.

This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating service delivery, responding to inquiries, and driving continuous growth of the service business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred.
• Five years of general shop or service management experience, or seven years in truck equipment, crane, or lifting equipment industry.
• Strong computer skills, including Windows applications and CRM systems.
• Demonstrated leadership to hire, engage, train, and develop service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license and Class B CDL; ability to work independently and solve problems.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, train, schedule, engage, and retain In-House Service Technicians to meet customer and operational demands.
• Respond to customer inquiries and equipment service needs, including preparing service quotes and processing warranty claims.
• Manage work in process to support safe, consistent, and timely service delivery.
• Oversee the effective utilization of in-house service resources and maintain strong labor efficiency.
• Coordinate facility maintenance and related expenses, while performing service repairs as operational needs require.

In this role, you will oversee service technicians, manage workflow, and help ensure labor and resources are used effectively. You will champion service excellence and team safety while supporting the continued growth of our service business. Your Responsibilities

• Valid driver’s license and Class B commercial driver’s license, along with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems resourcefully.
