PALFINGER is seeking a Shop Service Manager to lead branch service operations in Jackson, NJ. You will oversee service technicians, manage workflow, and ensure safe, timely, and reliable customer support. This hands-on leadership role focuses on optimizing labor and resources while driving service excellence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in shop or service management (or 7+ in truck equipment/cranes) and strong IT skills, including Windows and CRM systems. CDL Class B is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred.
• Five years of general shop or service management experience, or seven years in truck equipment, crane, or lifting equipment.
• Strong computer skills, including Windows applications and CRM systems.
• Demonstrated leadership to hire, engage, train, and develop service technicians.
• Valid Class B CDL and ability to work independently.

Reach Beyond at PALFINGER as a Shop Service Manager, leading branch service operations at our Jackson, NJ location to deliver safe, timely, and reliable support to our customers. In this role, you will oversee service technicians, manage workflow, and help ensure labor and resources are used effectively. You will champion service excellence and team safety while supporting the continued growth of our service business. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for an experienced service professional who is ready to strengthen operations and elevate the customer experience.

Your Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, schedule, engage, and retain In-House Service Technicians to meet customer and operational demands.
• Respond to customer inquiries and equipment service needs, including preparing service quotes and processing warranty claims.
• Manage work in process to support safe, consistent, and timely service delivery.
• Oversee the effective utilization of in‑house service resources and maintain strong labor efficiency.
• Coordinate facility maintenance and related expenses, while performing service repairs as operational needs require.

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred.
• Five years of general shop or service management experience, or seven years of experience in the truck equipment, crane, or lifting equipment industry.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Windows applications and customer relationship management systems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to hire, engage, train, and develop service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license and Class B commercial driver’s license, along with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems resourcefully.
