Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Shop Technician 2 Power based in Odessa, TX to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and setup of power generators and HVAC systems. You’ll work from our Odessa service center, troubleshoot issues, and support customer operations with flexible on-site and shop work.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years’ experience with generators/HVAC, schematic literacy, and a valid driver’s license, with overtime possible in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of experience on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading schematics.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card; valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to meet physical demands including lifting up to 60–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Base at Odessa, TX service center and perform preventive maintenance on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
• Repair and troubleshoot equipment in the shop or on site as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to set up and operate equipment for customer needs.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a S hop Technician 2 Power -based in Odessa, TX.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.

We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Odessa, TX service center.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED

• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
