Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Technician 1 — Electric based in North Houston, TX. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair generators, electrical distribution equipment, and HVAC systems to keep customers powered.

Based out of the North Houston service center, you will travel daily to customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and operate equipment in shop or on-site with overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience on diesel/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, including inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Able to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading electrical schematics.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements.
• Physically able to move or lift objects typically under 50 lbs.

What you’ll do as Technician 1 — Electric:

• Based out of our North Houston, TX service center, traveling daily to customer sites in a company vehicle

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, electrical distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC systems, and oil-free air compressors

You are:

• High School diploma or GED, with 2+ years of hands-on experience on diesel/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs

• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
