Job summary

Aggreko, LLC is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician based in our Odessa, TX service center to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution, HVAC, and oil-free air systems.

You will troubleshoot failures, work in shop or in the field, and collaborate with teammates as needed. The role requires 5+ years of generator/HVAC experience, ability to read schematics, and a valid driver’s license. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• TWIC card or valid DOT medical card may be required; valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 60–75 lbs and move objects as needed.

Job description

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Odessa, TX service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other essential job requirements

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level.
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
