Job summary

SmartFlower Solar seeks a Shop Operations Manager and Field Service Technician based in the U.S. to oversee shop operations, spare parts fulfillment, and after-sales support for North America from our Woburn, MA center.

The role combines hands-on shop work with field service, requiring collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams. You will manage part inventory, perform system upgrades and refurbishment, and travel to customer sites for maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

Hands-on field experience with mechanical assembly and electrical interconnections.
Experience with photovoltaic systems or industrial equipment is a plus.
Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25% within North America.
Legally authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

Own shop operations, shipping/receiving, field service, and trainer responsibilities.
Manage North American spare parts fulfillment and inventory optimization.
Perform system/refurbishment testing and failure analysis of components.
Coordinate service case escalations, installations, and training with Installation and Service Manager.
Provide technical training and remote troubleshooting to customers and partners.
Monitor service KPIs: order fulfillment time, response time, customer satisfaction.
