Job summary

SmartFlower Solar GmbH is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer to join our North American service and engineering team. The successful candidate will provide remote customer support and on-site service of electro-mechanical equipment, working independently and across a globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education (high school diploma plus vocational training, trade school or an associate or bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or renewable energy field).
• Hands-on field experience with motors and motion systems, electrical interconnections and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders and in tight spaces; use hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel within North America up to 15%.
• Legally authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Handle North American service cases including email and phone support, remote troubleshooting and proactive outreach.
• Perform on-site field service calls including break-fix and maintenance visits; oversee installations and training.
• Collaborate with global teams to elevate field issues for engineering attention and develop solutions.
• Manage North American spare parts including customer fulfillment and inventory optimization.
• Conduct system and component failure analysis, refurbishment and testing as needed.
• Lead initiatives to enhance service delivery and reduce costs.
