Job summary

RNR Tire Express is seeking a Service Manager to oversee shop operations and direct the workflow of scheduled work using Shop Monkey. The role involves implementing company procedures, ensuring safety, and coaching technicians to maintain high standards and a clean, safe work environment.

You will also manage tool and equipment inspections, schedule maintenance, and ensure proper documentation in Shop Monkey, while adhering to TIA, ALI guidelines and PPE policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all the operations in the shop.
• Direct the flow of work scheduled in the shop and manage Shop Monkey.
• Implement and enforce shop procedures and policies.
• Ensure shop safety procedures are followed for team and customers.
• Instruct, coach, train, and manage shop technicians.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Inspect shop tools and equipment daily for usability and safety.
• Schedule maintenance on equipment and inform management of needs.
• Ensure staff documents all required fields in Shop Monkey.
• Follow and implement TIA, ALI and company guidelines for the shop.
• Enforce PPE and safety policies (glasses, gloves, torque, lifting).
• Oversee first torque performed by technicians and manager second torque.
• Verify completion of torque actions and documentation.
• Order products via 1st Call and vendors for services and installs.
• Prepare weekly staff work schedules.
• Assist in hiring and recruiting shop personnel.
• Train all shop technicians.
• Receive service-related products for installs.
• Handle RTV paperwork with management.
• Maintain binder for customer special orders (e.g., center caps).
• Conduct weekly truck maintenance and inspections in Shop Monkey.
• Assist in monthly safety audits.
• Complete daily equipment calibration and safety inspections.
• Maintain daily shop cleaning schedule.
• Ensure customer returns are cleaned, labeled, and prepared for sale.
