We are seeking a dedicated Shop Maintenance Mechanic to join our team!!

Position summary: The ideal candidate will have a background in HEAVY DUTY maintenance of Utility/Construction equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will play a critical role on our team, performing routine maintenance, diagnosing problems, making repairs, and ensuring equipment is safe.
Responsibilities
- Performing routine inspections, lubrication, and other maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Identifying the root cause of equipment malfunctions and determining the necessary repairs.
- Making necessary repairs to vehicles, equipment, and machinery, using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments. Repairs will consist of the following:
- Engine repairs and tune ups
- Fuel systems
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulic & transmission work
- Cooling systems
- Chassis repair
- Etc.
- Installing new equipment and systems and repairing or modifying existing systems.
- Perform diagnostic testing
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance and equipment inventory
- Keeping the shop area clean, organized, and stoked with necessary supplies and tools
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures and using appropriate safety equipment
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent, with additional training or certifications in automotive or industrial mechanics
- Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment, and knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and decipher schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair comprehensive issues on equipment, using diagnostic test equipment.
- You must be willing to work weekends if needed and travel may be required.
- Must have own basic tools, company will provide specialty tools needed for equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Will be required to join IBEW Local Union 104
- Compensation based on experience and certifications (Range $25.88 HR to $40.25)
