  • Transport and store fabrication materials using forklifts, hoists, and hand trucks.

Description

Install, maintain, and repair furnaces, equipment, and buildings according to diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specifications. Utilize knowledge of electrical equipment, piping, and welding. Install and troubleshoot electrical systems and electronic equipment in buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, piping, refrigeration, and chemical systems on equipment and buildings.
  • Read and log meters on equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and document operations on meters, gauges, filters, belts, lubrication levels, safety devices, etc., to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Install and move equipment and systems using forklifts, hoists, etc.
  • Fabricate tanks, fixtures, conveyors, furnaces, and other equipment using welding equipment, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and fabrication tools.
  • Lay out and install piping systems with appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Transport and store fabrication materials using forklifts, hoists, and hand trucks.
  • Install, repair, and replace fire bricks.
  • Move office furniture and supplies as needed.
  • Travel to job sites for meetings, training, and conventions, which may include overnight stays.
Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, pipe fitting, instrumentation, temperature control devices, and welding.

License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

  • Must obtain forklift certification.
