Aggreko plc is seeking a Shop Technician 1 or 2 Temp Control based in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors, with opportunities to work solo or with a team in the shop.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma/GED and 7+ years of experience with power generators or commercial HVAC equipment, including reading schematics and calculating tonnage/KW requirements.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Shop Technician 1 or 2 Temp Control- based in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Santa Fe Springs, CA service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Availability to work the assignedschedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts
• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
