Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Technician 2 Temp Control-Shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will be based at the service center and perform maintenance on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems, and oil‑free air compressors.

You may work alone or with a team to set up and operate equipment in the shop. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience with power generators or commercial HVAC, reads schematics, and holds a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years of experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment; inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage or kW, and reading schematics.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card depending on customer requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to move or lift objects typically under 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Based out of the Santa Fe Springs, CA service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• Set up and operate equipment in the shop, either solo or with other technicians.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Santa Fe Springs, CA service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED.
• 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Otheressential jobrequirements:

• Availability to work the assignedschedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts.
• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level.
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
