Job summary

American StaffCorp in Oklahoma is seeking a Shop Helper for a Monday–Friday dayshift. You will support welders, pipefitters, and machine operators with material preparation, assembly setups, and daily fabrication tasks in our facility.

This entry‑level role requires reliable boots, basic shop math, and the ability to read a tape measure. You will use hand and power tools, forklifts or overhead cranes under supervision, learning BOMs and fabrication drawings on the job.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial shop experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and utilize basic shop math.
• Willingness to learn how to operate overhead cranes, read basic fabrication drawings, and understand BOMs.
• Must have steel-toed boots.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders, pipefitters, and machine operators with material preparation and daily fabrication tasks.
• Build pallets, crates and other shop duties.
• Load, unload, stage, and transfer raw materials, components, and tools using hand trucks, forklifts, or overhead cranes.
• Use basic hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring devices under shop guidelines.

Shop helpers will assist welders, pipefitters, and machine operators with material preparation, assembly setups, and daily fabrication tasks.Building pallets, crates and other misc. shop duties as assignedLoad, unload, stage, and transfer raw materials, components, and tools throughout the facility using hand trucks, forklifts, or overhead cranesUse basic hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring devices under supervised shop guidelines. Experience:Entry level, previous manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial shop experience is preferred.Ability to accurately read a tape measure and utilize basic shop math.Willingness to learn how to operate overhead cranes, read basic fabrication drawings, and understand bills of materials (BOM). Must have steel-toed boots.
