Material Handler/General Labor
Pay: $19-22/hr.
Shift: Mon-Fri (2:30pm to 11pm) - Must be able to train on 1st shift (6am start)
Description
The Material Handler/General Laborer will be moving metal within the shop on 2nd shift and assisting with other tasks in the structural steel shop when needed.
Requirements
Prior material handling experience in a manufacturing environment; metal shop environment is a plus
Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
Read and interpret maps, sketches and drawings
Must have reliable transportation to and from the fabrication shop
Job Responsibilities
Operate forklift and overhead cranes
Perform and/or assist with operation of saws, shear and bending equipment
Measure, cut or shape metal
Clean and prepare workstations by removing debris and possible hazards
Load or unload raw materials and fabricated steel
Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
Perform and/or assist with the painting and blasting operations
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
