Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport raw materials, tools, and finished parts using manual labor, forklifts, or overhead cranes.
• Part Preparation: Use hand and power tools—such as grinders, sanders, and buffers—to prep metal, smooth out rough edges, and remove rust.
• Machine Support: Assist welders and machine operators (e.g., press brakes or shears) by holding materials, positioning parts, and marking reference points.
• Shop Maintenance: Maintain shop floor organization and safety by sweeping debris, clearing scrap metal, and properly storing equipment.
• Quality Assurance: Verify parts meet basic specifications using tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
