Job summary

Allstate Peterbilt Group is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead advanced heavy-truck diagnostic and repair work. You will train apprentices, supervise daily shop operations, and ensure quality control on road-tested repairs.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive diagnostic skills, and ASE Master Technician or equivalent OEM training. You will guide technicians, stay current with TSBs and warranty changes, and coordinate with service advisors to explain needs to customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of advanced heavy truck/automotive repair experience.
• ASE Master Technician certification or equivalent OEM manufacturer training is required.
• CDL preferred with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience as a team lead or supervisor is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Train & mentor apprentices as the primary on-the-floor trainer.
• Assist with daily shop operations.
• Quality control: inspect and road-test repairs before sign-off.
• Provide technical support to diagnose stubborn failures and guide repairs.
• Lead by example with complex diagnostics and major mechanical work.
• Disseminate updates on product changes, TSBs, and warranty information.
• Lead monthly toolbox meetings on safety, repairs, and goals.
• Review work requests and help advisors explain needs to customers.
• Ensure accurate documentation of diagnostic steps and parts used on repair orders.
