Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. seeks a Service Department Foreman to oversee the safe, efficient operation of the service shop and lead the mechanics. This role requires diagnosing truck systems, coordinating repairs, and ensuring timely, cost-effective service.

You will write repair orders, schedule work, communicate with drivers and owners, and ensure parts availability. A CDL is required, with at least four years as a mechanic and two years as foreman or lead mechanic.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• Minimum four years as a mechanic and at least 2 years as a shop foreman or lead mechanic.
• Must possess and maintain a CDL and interact well with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the service department and supervise mechanics.
• Diagnose truck components and determine repairs.
• Write repair orders and communicate with drivers/owners to determine problems and solutions.
• Schedule and assign jobs by skill, aiming to minimize downtime.
• Inspect work progress, advise customers on completion time and costs, and road/dyno test trucks.
