Take 5 Oil Change in Dickinson, TX is seeking a hands-on Assistant Shop Manager to support daily operations, coach a fast-paced team, and step in as Manager on Duty when required. You will help maintain safety, service standards, and a positive customer experience.

Automotive experience is valued but not required; the role offers paid training, potential for growth, and opportunities to advance from shop roles into leadership with strong performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Able to meet applicable age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations.
• Lead, coach, and mentor team members on the floor.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed and coordinate workflow.
• Ensure services are completed safely, accurately, and to standard.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Handle opening and closing procedures and daily inventory tasks.
• Support communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
