Job summary

Jobot is seeking a passionate Metallurgical Engineer for a hands-on, shop-floor role in our metals foundry. You will lead process development, quality control, and project management to improve productivity and product integrity.

Requirements include a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree and 5+ years in foundry operations, with CAD proficiency. MAGMASOFT experience is valued. The role offers growth and involvement in aerospace-grade castings with strong safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 5 years in a foundry environment with focus on process capabilities and control.
Demonstrated project management experience in manufacturing.
Strong CAD design proficiency.
Excellent problem solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Monitor process capabilities and control to maintain manufacturing integrity.
Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to improve operations.
Oversee project management from planning to completion.
Collaborate to troubleshoot complex foundry issues and optimize processes.
Ensure operations comply with health and safety regulations.
Conduct audits and inspections to maintain equipment and processes.
Provide technical guidance to the foundry team and drive continuous improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in foundry operations.
