Jobot is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer for a hands-on shop floor role, focusing on developing and improving foundry processes, ensuring quality control, and leading projects to boost efficiency. MAGMASOFT experience is highly valued.

We have been pouring precision aluminum and magnesium castings since 1971 for aerospace and automotive customers, backed by AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015. You will partner with a talented team on the floor to own processes from design to deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
5+ years in foundry environments focusing on process capabilities, control, and rigging/fixtures.
Experience in project management within manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of foundry operations and processes.
Proficient in CAD for design purposes.
Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity and quality.
Use process capability and control to maintain manufacturing integrity.
Design and implement rigging and fixture solutions.
Oversee projects from inception to completion.
Collaborate to troubleshoot complex foundry issues.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular audits of machinery and equipment.
Provide technical guidance to the foundry team.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
