Job Title:

Overview of Roles & Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Shop Foreman and will be responsible for ordering required parts and materials needed by Shop Personnel in coordination with the Shop Foreman. It also requires ownership of the Parts Room, ensuring parts are stored neatly, correctly, and the room stays organized and clean. For detailed daily/weekly tasks, see below.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Check in daily with the Shop Foreman for assistance needs.
• Order and schedule all parts deliveries as directed by the Shop Foreman based on mechanics’ and fuelers’ needs.
• Utilize effective suppliers.
• Generate and issue purchase orders for parts.
• Maintain the parts room, including regular inventory checks and ordering as approved by the Shop Foreman.
• Track all parts orders, schedule deliveries, verify receipt matches orders, and store parts if not immediately needed.
• Ensure copies of all material/parts invoices are received by Branscome AP.
• Code invoices regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Parts Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

Skills Required:

• 1-3 years of experience.
• Effective communication and organization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing.

Education:

• High School Diploma.

Software:

• Microsoft Office Suite, familiar with Vista or similar accounting software, and HCSS E360 or similar shop maintenance software.

Physical Demands:

• Standing, walking, sitting, driving, stooping, climbing, reaching, kneeling, carrying, lifting, pulling.
