Role Summary

The Patient Access Senior Representative demonstrates strong customer service skills while managing reception, scheduling, and patient registration for appointments and procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Greet patients and secure accurate patient information.
  2. Validate insurance eligibility and enter data into systems.
  3. Collect co-pays and assist with financial counseling and clearance as needed.
  4. Perform all aspects of the Patient Access Representative role as required.
  5. Train and orient new staff members.
  6. Notify supervisors of policy violations or issues.
  7. Cross-cover all department functions as needed.
  8. Work off-shifts, weekends, or holidays if required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare patient scheduling/registration experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong customer service and patient-centered focus.
  • Ability to operate independently and train new staff.
  • Physical ability to lift less than 20 lbs and perform prolonged sitting and walking.
  • Strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Information

May require working off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. May have access to medications and supplies. Responsible for maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
