Description

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is seeking a Case Clerk for the Real Estate team in Richmond, VA. The role involves assisting lawyers and paralegals with document organization, preparation, review, and other tasks related to the firm’s legal practice areas under supervision.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  1. Organize, maintain, and retrieve document files, including correspondence, court papers, corporate documents, legislative materials, case records, transactional documents, governmental filings, and discovery materials.
  2. Draft routine documents for review by attorneys or senior paralegals.
  3. Manage witness and financial folders; prepare and maintain case or financial indices.
  4. Review, code, and copy legal documents used in trial discovery.
  5. File and e-file documents with government or other entities as requested.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
  • Prior experience as a case clerk or in a similar role, especially in a legal environment, is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office; strong research skills required.
  • Professional appearance, initiative, adaptability, and team-oriented attitude essential.
  • Ability to work overtime or travel as needed, under short notice.
  • Ability to work under pressure with patience, diplomacy, and high stress tolerance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, transcription, and data entry; strong reasoning and memory skills.
