Job summary

East Bank Club is seeking an Shop Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead staff, manage merchandising and budgets, and ensure high hospitality standards for members and guests. The role includes supervising uniforms, vendor coordination, and inventory, with a focus on driving sales and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years retail management/supervisory experience.
• Excellent Microsoft Suite skills.
• Demonstrate strong leadership ability and positive team collaboration.
• Strategic thinker; ability to analyze and solve issues quickly.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities, works well under pressure and independently, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred/Plus: Experience in boutique/high-hospitality environment.
• Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and promptly resolve member concerns.
• Model hospitality, professionalism, and integrity.
• Foster a positive, team-focused environment that supports staff success and guest satisfaction.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff.
• Support scheduling, monitor coverage, and approve time-off requests.
• Coach team members through regular feedback, performance tracking, and quarterly service training.
• Help administer disciplinary actions and document performance concerns when necessary.
• Supervise daily staff workflow and provide on-floor training support.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual standards across the shop and storage areas.
• Collaborate on merchandising plans that align with business goals and customer expectations.
• Stay informed on retail trends and suggest innovative ideas to enhance offerings.
• Manage the full process of Club uniform distribution, including vendor coordination, ordering, receiving, and employee assignment.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and address departmental needs proactively.
• Assist in budget planning and monitor daily sales and service performance.
• Analyze financial reports to track trends and help achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Support loss prevention efforts and conduct regular inventory counts including 2 full inventory counts per year.
• Process payroll accurately and on time; verify timecards and payroll previews.
• Ensure compliance with Club policies and procedures across the department.
• Other tasks as assigned by the COO, The Shop Buyer & Manager, or Senior Leader.
