Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the store in the manager’s absence, drive the best shoe store experience for families, and motivate a team toward sales and growth goals. You will stay current on trends, coach the team, and celebrate a culture that delivers the Famous Feeling to every customer.

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail sales preferred).
• Demonstrates experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Exhibits ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Displays ability to train, coach and develop associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion partnering with Store Sales Manager, as needed.
• Demonstrates strong cognitive skills, including problem solving analysis, decision making, and financial and quantitative analysis.
• Has advanced working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Can work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Has basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates with integrity and drive to foster customer relationships and operational excellence.
• Network with exceptional external talent and collaborate on hiring to grow sales.
• Manage pricing, shipping, and inventory following store standards.
• Drive sales goals and apply insights to improve results.
