Job summary

Caleres is seeking a full-time Assistant Store Manager in Lancaster to lead the team in the absence of the Store Manager and deliver the best shoe store experience for families. You’ll motivate staff, coach customer-focused selling, manage daily operations, and support staffing levels while driving sales and brand presentation.

You will champion customer relationships, product knowledge, and store standards, ensuring a positive, inclusive culture with a strong emphasis on teamwork and growth

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail sales preferred).
• Demonstrates experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Exhibits ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store Associates at all levels.
• Displays ability to train, coach and develop Associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion partnering with Store Sales Manager, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates with integrity and drive to deliver customer relationships and flawless execution.
• Engage in talent discovery, interviewing and hiring individuals passionate about great customer experiences.
• Maintain retail operations, including pricing, shipping processing and inventory, to keep brands shoppable.
• Drive sales goals by applying insights to location performance and coaching selling behaviors.
• Build a positive culture, inclusivity, and engagement across the store team.
• Act as the Store Manager's right hand, ensuring policy compliance and talent development.
