Caleres is seeking a Store Manager to lead a high-performing team in a busy retail setting. You will drive sales, develop talent, and ensure an exceptional in-store experience for families and customers.

You will manage pricing, inventory, and staffing while keeping up with fashion trends and ensuring brand standards across Famous Footwear, Naturalizer, Sam Edelman, and Allen Edmonds. A passion for shoes and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has 1-5 years of retail store management experience, specialty retail preferred.
• Builds constructive and effective relationships within store teams.
• Displays an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store Associates at all levels.
• Exhibits ability to train, coach and develop Associates.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion, partnering with Territory Sales Manager as needed.
• Displays cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis.
• Demonstrates expertise and proven ability to lead general retail practices and procedures.
• Can work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends and extended hours.
• Has basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the customer connection and lead a team to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
• Lead talent discovery by recruiting strong external talent and developing succession plans for leadership roles.
• Own retail operations, including pricing, shipments, inventory, and staffing decisions to ensure a smoothly run store.
• Leverage insights from business analysis to drive sales, refine strategies, and improve results.
• Be the architect of a winning culture by promoting diversity, inclusion, and high engagement.
