Job summary

Caleres is seeking a Store Manager to lead a busy footwear retail team and deliver the best shoe store experience for families. You will drive sales, coach associates, and maintain store standards while embodying the Famous Feeling across our brands.

As a people leader, you will inspire daily excellence, manage operations, and partner with leadership to optimize staffing, inventory, and customer service. A passion for shoes and community engagement is essential.

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has 1-5 years of retail store management experience, specialty retail preferred.
• Builds constructive and effective relationships within store teams.
• Demonstrates an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals.
• Displays an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store Associates at all levels.
• Exhibits ability to train, coach and develop Associates.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion, partnering with Territory Sales Manager as needed.
• Displays cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis.
• Demonstrates expertise and proven ability to lead general retail practices and procedures.
• Can work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends and extended hours.
• Has basic computer skills.
