Job summary

Scheels in Rapid City, SD is seeking an entry-level part-time team member for the shoe department. The role involves stocking, processing returns, and assisting customers with a friendly, service-oriented approach.

You’ll work a schedule that includes evenings and some weekends with average weekly hours of 10–20. Prior retail experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or GED, preferred.
• 1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates.
• Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations while maintaining an organized work environment to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assist in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe departments as needed.
• Proactively engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance.
• Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional prior to the start of each shift.
• Partner closely with Specialty Shop Managers to identify and address urgent department needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and team members.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levers of the organization.
• The ability to perform basic calculations.
• Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
