Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is seeking a Shipping Team Lead for the 1st shift to manage all shipping and material handling activities, including inbound materials, auditing, replenishment, put-away, and inventory control.

You'll operate warehouse equipment, use SAP and RF devices, train new staff, support process improvements, and ensure 5S/Lean practices while maintaining safe, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the shipping department of a manufacturing plant.
• 3+ years’ experience with forklifts (Reach truck, sit-down, Cherry pickers).
• Proficient in SAP ERP system and RF devices.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead all shipping and material handling operations, including inbound materials, auditing, replenishment, put-away, inventory control, and warehouse activities.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and utilize tools as needed.
• Receive, inspect, verify, and document incoming materials and process damage claims per procedures.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support Lean/5S principles and continuous improvement.
• Train new employees and assist with SAP system access setup; identify process improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
